Las Vegas used to be a great town. Over the past 12 years a great amount of people moved here from Los Angeles and numerous other California communities to get away from the gangs, crime, high costs, illegals and failed local governments due to their liberal policies. When they moved here in numbers they drove prices up, in came the illegals with the housing boom, they brought their unsupervised loser kids who were the gang problem in LA and are now the gang problem here. After moving here they immediately began voting, whining and pushing the same liberal agendas that ruined California. In short they moved here to get away from a problem without possessing the intelligence to realize that they themselves are the problem. After totally screwing up one of the most beutiful states in the nation they are now repeating the process here. It's called liberalism and I do not beleive I am stretching the boundries when I say liberalism is a mental disorder. Las Vegas is turning into a little LA.

Well then leave, it's not for everyone. This bust might be good for Vegas to many people came here hoping to make a quick buck and then reality hit so please pack your bags and go back to where you came from. Was that to rude for you?

I got stationed at Nellis AFB in North Las Vegas about a year ago, and I have to say that I'm not a fan of this area. So many areas are run down around here and the crime rate is unbelievable. A baby was abducted on a street just around the corner from me and this seemed like a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of North Las Vegas. We're going to try to find a safer neighborhood in this area if that's even possible. Even the nicest neighborhoods in Summerlin aren't safe. A friend lives in a gorgeous neighborhood in Summerlin and her neighbor was robbed at gunpoint, then shot. I have a 6 month old baby girl and I keep asking myself how I'll ever be able to feel comfortable letting her playing outside. Keep in mind that this is the perspective of a 30yo active duty woman who grew up in a small town in western PA and has lived in central NY, Texas and Oahu. I love the outdoors but I love green and I'm not used to these extreme temperatures. I keep hearing that dry heat isn't that bad but I was so uncomfortable that I stayed indoors all summer rather than hiking, camping and all of the other activities I normally enjoy during the summer months. Also I've been told that the school system is horrible here. I'm going to try to PCS my family out of here as soon as possible.

Sounds to me like you're talking about where we live here in Southern California especially in Los Angeles County. Us white's are getting to be the diminishing race & everything is starting to look run down & all the schools are filled with tan skinned black haired people. I'll take Las Vegas any day!

Hi Kelly. Even though I do agree with you that Las Vegas is a horrible place to live it is not fair to lump everyone who lives here into the,and I quote "dumb, sleezy, rude, selfish, hustling jerks" category. I am a native of Las Vegas and probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I have a lot of friends who are natives and again some of the most UNSELFISH people you will ever have the priviledge of meeting. If you hate it here so much, then leave. I plan on it as soon as my daughter graduates high school but you do not see me going on a public website condemning all residents of Las Vegas. Something to consider, did you ever think it was because of all the transients that move here. Natives are only about 6% of our population so according to you, everyone who has moved here are the selfish, rude and the hustlers.
